Requirements for Core Volunteers

- Volunteers may be subject to screening or background checks.
Attend In-Person Volunteer Orientation
Commitment of 1 shift per quarter (4 shifts annually or 12 hours minimum)
Must be able to work independently and meet essential volunteer requirements.
Must have passion and compassion for families affected by childhood cancer.
Must represent yourself and Candlelighters in a professional manner and treat staff, volunteers, and families with respect.

*You do not need to sign up to be a core volunteer if you are only interested in virtual activities.

Sign up via the Guest Volunteer Sign Up or specific event sign up for events.
- We do not have volunteer openings aside from what is on the calendar.
Wait for confirmation from the Volunteer Manager before showing up to a shift.

What Information Do We Collect?
